The lemon pepper chicken wings beloved by rapper Rick Ross and others are winging — sorry! — their way to Canada, specifically Toronto, next year.

Popular American-based chain Wingstop says, through a deal with JPK Capital, it will have 100 locations set up in its northern neighbour in the next decade starting with the very first one in Toronto in 2022.

“Wingstop in Canada marks another key step toward our stated goal of becoming a Top 10 Global Brand and further validates the portability of our brand on a global level,” Wingstop’s President of International Nicolas Boudet said in a statement.

“We currently see Wingstop addressing a need in the Canadian market with our unique brand positioning and product offering and believe this is a market where we can replicate the success we’ve experienced in the U.S. based on Canadians’ appreciation and craving for bold flavour and high-quality product.”
